When Asda moved to VCCP Blue they were looking for a fresh brand positioning to rival the other top 3 supermarkets. With a new strapline, ‘you’re better off at Asda,’ and a new voiceover, Mel Giedroyc – the TV and radio ads became a masterclass in playful storytelling dialling up the message that Asda was both good value and surprisingly innovative.
